Tolian is a partner in McKinsey’s Southern California office and a member of the McKinsey Digital Practice, leading digitally-enabled transformations primarily in health and human services. He works with public and private sector organizations to drive technology investments that enable innovation and transform customer experience, in particular for under-served populations, while building organizational capabilities to sustain impact.
Some of his recent client work includes the following:
- helping a state launch a first-of-its-kind digital services platform for its population of children and youth
- defining the digital strategy for multiple health and human services agencies in a state, including identifying a common vision and opportunities to deploy cutting-edge technology
- helping a state design and launch a new system to modernize its case intake, case management, and eligibility for major programs, including SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid
Prior to returning to McKinsey, Tolian led marketing for ZALORA Group in the Philippines, helping develop e-commerce capabilities to serve the country’s ~2,000 inhabited islands. He is passionate about helping under-served populations through technology.
Tolian is fluent in Albanian, English, and Italian. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, playing soccer, and reading sci-fi novels.
