Marcus is an expert in the execution and delivery of large, complex capital major projects, with a focus on energy and infrastructure. He brings to McKinsey more than 25 years of demonstrated achievement in site and project management across Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

Marcus has led execution on a diverse range of projects, including brownfield gas-plant modernizations, modular liquified-natural-gas plant fabrication and assembly, onshore gas plants, rail and aviation infrastructure, and government-service projects. He brings deep experience across the project life cycle, drawing on expertise in field engineering, construction operations, precommissioning, subcontract management, claims analysis, and Six Sigma and continuous improvement.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Marcus spent 20 years in a variety of leadership roles at an engineering, procurement, construction, and project-management company, where he managed teams in logistically challenging and harsh climatic environments in China, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. He is a registered professional engineer with the California Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
