Chhavi is a leader of Cloud by McKinsey and McKinsey’s tech strategy and management work. She helps organizations capture the full potential of cloud to drive business transformation and create sustainable competitive advantage. In her work, she focuses on a range of aspects of the digital enterprise, including cloud strategy, product operating models, value assurance, and DevOps tech operating models.
She has more than ten years of experience in IT strategy, development, and technology transformation. She works across industries, with a particular focus on life sciences organizations.
Examples of Chhavi’s recent work include the following:
- developing the cloud transformation strategy, business case, and value assurance program architecture for a leading pharmaceuticals company; the $600 million project included migration of existing applications, development of a data platform, and innovation engine in the public cloud
- designing a new technology operating model for a pharmaceutical company based on product development methodology and agile delivery principles
- designing a three-year digitization strategy and plan for a leading telco, including business growth and enablement use cases, and technology modernization initiatives with a total investment of $300 million achieving up to three times that in return
- developing the cloud migration strategy for a large grocery retailer, including an integrated roadmap for migration that involved app clustering methodology and designing a DevOps organization carve-out from an existing traditional siloed infrastructure organization
- helping lead a large-scale IT services company through an industry-shaping merger of equals, a divestiture, and an acquisition of a digital services niche company over four years, including multiple integration and separation management offices
